IT Centre under the administrative Control of Electronics & Information Technology (E&IT) and with direct supervision of the Technical Directorate of Dept. of E&IT, Odisha Computer Application Centre (OCAC) envisages towards the implementation of various e-governance applications of the state.
Presently IT Centre, located within the Secretariat premises, is equipped with adequate servers and storage capacity.
Infrastructure :Out of this OSWAS Storage capacity is 40 TB and Common-infra & SAMS (Student Academic Management System) storage is 20 TB each. 21 servers are for OSWAS, and 7 blade servers are employed for SAMS, 15 no of Server for Common Infrastructure. RF link: NIC, RajBhavan, OCAC(Airtel) has been provided for un-interrupted connectivity. 2 nos of CISCO Layer-3 routers, 2nos of Core Switch Cisco Nexus 9000 with 2 nos. of Link Load Balancer are in place for effective routing & looping.
To provide Enterprise level Security two numbers of Next Generation Checkpoint Firewall (Anti Bot/Anti-Spam/IPS/Application Filtering/Anti-Virus/ E-Mail Security) and Content Filtering Services with the help of Forcepoint has been deployed. Also there is the provision of Endpoint Security with Kaspersky Endpoint Security Solution.

- Implementation of Odisha Secretariat Workflow Automation System (OSWAS) for paper-less file movement towards digital governance.
- Wi-fi Access Points provided for easy / quick response for effective decision-making.
- There are 150 Managed WI-FI & 30 Un-managed Wi-Fi access points set up for the purpose.
- Creation/ Management of VPN access used for remote access.
- Installation of Firewall and content-filtering in the network for Network Security.
- Running of Anti-Virus to manage the network for making it free from virus & malwares etc.
- Support to the Users/ Departments towards Hardware / Software along with trouble shooting mechanism.
- Provision of networking items like Passive / active material to the departments to address different type of networking related issues.
- Extension of SECLAN facility going on war-footing basis to the newly built “KrushiBhawan”.
- Capacity Building Programme among different level of Officers / staff for imparting Training activities for various e-governance oriented skillsets.
- Management of E-Pass System for visitors entering into the Secretariat.
- Video Conferencing & remote connectivity over SWAN/ NIC network.
- Management / New installation of EPABX / RAX system across the secretariat as well as to HODs, Rajiv Bhawan.
