CSM has been awarded "The Manthan 09" award for "Sanjog Helpline on the ( Category : E-Governance ) for providing G2C information services using cross media application. The award was handed over by Union Minister of State for Communications & IT, India , Mr. Sachin Pilot. As a precursor to its leadership efforts in the e-Governance implementation, the Government of Orissa commissioned the integrated, Multilingual Automated and webbased Grievance Redressal System to enable seemless registration of the feedback of the citizenry, on-going implementation status and post implementation impact of the welfare schemes instituted by the govt. It is the India’s first grievance registration & redressal system. The Sanjog Helpline was designed to ensure a transparent grievance redressal service for all the schemes in which the citizens are the immediate beneficiaries. This SAHAJ-SARAL-SAFAL system provides a forum for the government to be in touch with the scheme beneficiaries. Through this service the citizen is empowered to register any type of complaint without disclosing their identity thus with the help of ICTs the common man has been brought in to the folds of the administration where his opinion matters. The Manthan Award events annually (since 2003-04) are dedicated towards innovations and applications in the field of Information Communication Technology & digital applications towards solving key development and governance challenges till the last mile. The two days programme witnessed participation from 15 States and UTs and 6 countries from South Asia representing with various digital innovations and applications. The Manthan Award was received by Shri. R.N.Dash, IAS, ex-commissioner & Secretary (I&PR Dept). Out of 380 nominations only 45 were awarded and CSM was one among the winners.
