AUTO CAD

The concept of Computer Aided Design & Drafting has been around for over half a century. However, this was confined to mini and mainframe computers for a long time which prohibited the access of low and mid range users to the technology. A breakthrough came in the early 1980s which provided PC Platforms for desktop CADD applications which are as powerful as that in mainframes or minis with the use of very fast processing micro computers, excellent color graphics display and precision plotters and scanners which are available at a very competitive and affordable price.

In a fast changing environment like ours, the competition being very cut throat each day for quality and time bound work, CADD is the only answer to better productivity with assured quality and low cost.

THE CURRICULUM

The course is intended to provide a fairly good working knowledge to architects, engineers and draftsmen on the use of PCs and AutoCAD, the global leader in the drafting tools in the field of architectural planning, engineering design and other drawing works. AutoCAD under Windows XP platform will be used for designing, drafting and modeling. Auto LISP programming will be taught as the parametric drafting tool to achieve productivity.

ELLIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Diploma/Degree Engineers/Architects/ITI.

Draftsmen from any engineering discipline.
